These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the website almanacstats.com and any mobile applications, widgets, application programming interfaces, and other digital products operated by Almanacstats LLC (the "Platform", and together with the legal entity behind it, "Almanacstats", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing, browsing, downloading or otherwise interacting with the Platform you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. About the Platform
Almanacstats is an editorial information service that provides live scores, fixtures, results, statistics, ratings, league standings, transfer activity, news, opinion pieces and other journalistic and educational content related to sport and competitive events.
The Platform is operated by Almanacstats LLC, a company registered in the Republic of Croatia under registration number Registration pending with its registered seat at Registered office to be confirmed upon incorporation. Detailed corporate information is available in our Impressum.
Almanacstats processes personal data and publishes journalistic content in reliance on Article 85 of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), the Croatian Implementing Act of the GDPR (NN 42/2018) and the Croatian Media Act (Zakon o medijima, NN 59/04 and amendments). 2. Eligibility
You may use the Platform only if:
- you are at least 16 years of age, or the digital age of consent applicable in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher;
- you have full legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the law that applies to you;
- you are not prohibited from using the Platform under sanctions, export controls or local regulation.
Where the Platform displays betting odds, fantasy sports content or any element that may be considered gambling-related under your local law, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or such higher age as required locally), and that gambling-related content is lawful in your jurisdiction. Almanacstats does not operate betting services itself and does not accept wagers.
3. Account, profile and connected services
Some Platform features (favourites, notifications, custom lineups, news personalisation) require you to create an account. When you do so:
- you must provide accurate information and keep it up to date;
- you are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity carried out under your account;
- you may close your account at any time from the settings menu or by writing to [email protected];
- we may suspend or terminate the account if you breach these Terms or applicable law, with reasonable notice where the breach is curable.
We may offer login via third-party identity providers (Apple, Google, Facebook). Use of those services is also subject to the providers' own terms.
4. Permitted use
You may:
- consume the editorial content on the Platform for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment;
- share individual URLs to articles, matches, teams or players in accordance with normal social-sharing practice;
- embed our publicly available widgets in non-commercial contexts where we have provided an embed code, in unaltered form and with attribution.
You may not:
- scrape, mirror, harvest, aggregate or otherwise extract substantial parts of the data and content presented on the Platform, by manual or automated means;
- circumvent any access control, rate limit, watermark, robots directive or technical protection measure;
- redistribute, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without our prior written consent;
- use the Platform to train, fine-tune or evaluate machine-learning or large-language models, or to generate derivative datasets, without a separate licence from us;
- present the Platform or its content as your own, or in a way that suggests affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement by Almanacstats where none exists;
- introduce malware, denial-of-service traffic, or otherwise interfere with the integrity, availability or security of the Platform.
Limited quotation and citation of Almanacstats editorial output for the purposes of news reporting, criticism, review or scholarship is permitted to the extent allowed by the copyright statute that applies to you, provided that we are clearly credited and a hyperlink to the source page is included.
5. Editorial nature of the content
The Platform is an editorial product. It presents information of public interest about sport, athletes, clubs, federations, tournaments, officials and other persons who appear in their professional and public capacity. Such content may include:
- factual data (names, dates of birth, clubs, positions, results, statistics);
- analytical content (ratings, heat maps, expected-goals values, momentum charts);
- opinion pieces, previews, match reports and interviews;
- third-party content marked as such, including brand assets identifiable by a distinct logo, icon or wordmark.
Almanacstats is not responsible for the conduct of athletes, clubs or other third parties whose activities are reported. References to teams and competitions reflect their public sporting role and do not imply any commercial partnership unless we expressly state otherwise.
We do our best to keep information accurate and up to date, but we make no guarantee of completeness or absolute correctness. Sport events change in real time, and minor mismatches between feeds may occur. If you spot a factual error, please write to [email protected] and we will assess it under our editorial standards.
6. Intellectual property
6.1 Our content
Subject to Section 6.2 below, all editorial output, software, design, layout, Almanacstats logo, the "Almanacstats" wordmark, our rating algorithm and any other elements of the Platform are owned by Almanacstats LLC or licensed to it, and are protected by Croatian and international copyright, database, trademark and trade-secret laws.
6.2 Third-party content
Some material on the Platform — including club crests, league logos, athlete photographs, broadcast clips and infographics — is third-party content that does not belong to Almanacstats. We display such material in our editorial capacity in reliance on:
- the journalistic-purposes exemption under Article 85 GDPR and the Croatian Implementing Act;
- the news-reporting and quotation exceptions under the Croatian Copyright and Related Rights Act (NN 111/2021), the EU DSM Directive (2019/790) and equivalent rules in other jurisdictions;
- the nominative-fair-use principle of trademark law, which allows us to refer to third-party brands in order to identify the teams and competitions we cover.
Third-party rightsholders retain all their rights in the underlying material. If you are a rightsholder and believe that a specific item exceeds the editorial purpose for which it is published, please contact [email protected] and we will act in line with our notice-and-action workflow.
6.3 User-generated content
Where the Platform allows you to submit content — for instance comments, lineups, ratings or other input — you retain ownership of that content. By submitting it you grant Almanacstats a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, reproduce, adapt, translate and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.
You warrant that the content you submit:
- is your own or you have permission to publish it;
- does not infringe any third-party right, including copyright, trademark, personality, image or privacy rights;
- does not contain malware, illegal material, hate speech, harassment or content harmful to minors.
We may remove or disable user-generated content that we, acting reasonably, believe is in breach of these Terms or applicable law, in line with the EU Digital Services Act notice-and-action obligations.
7. Advertising, partnerships and affiliate links
The Platform is supported by advertising and partnership revenue. Some sections may contain sponsored content, partner widgets, affiliate links or odds-comparison modules. We label such elements where practicable.
References to bookmakers, betting odds, fantasy services or merchandise stores do not constitute an endorsement and do not amount to gambling, financial or investment advice. We are not party to any agreement you enter into with a third party advertised on the Platform. You should review the terms of any service before signing up.
If gambling is prohibited or restricted in your jurisdiction, you must not act on the basis of any odds information shown on the Platform. We display the responsible-gambling notice in the United Kingdom and other markets where this is required.
8. Availability and changes
The Platform is provided on a continuous basis but we may, without prior notice:
- suspend access for maintenance, upgrade or security reasons;
- modify, add or remove features;
- change the design and layout;
- introduce paid features alongside the free service.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and exclude liability for downtime to the extent permitted by applicable law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Almanacstats is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data or loss of business opportunity arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.
For direct damages, our aggregate liability over any twelve-month period is limited to the amount, if any, that you actually paid us for paid features during that period; if you used the Platform only in its free form, our aggregate liability is limited to one hundred euro (EUR 100).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Almanacstats LLC, its directors, officers, employees and partners against any claim brought by a third party as a result of:
- your breach of these Terms;
- your breach of any applicable law;
- your infringement of the rights of any third party;
- any content you submit to the Platform.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Zagreb, Croatia, have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms.
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country in accordance with Article 18 of Regulation (EU) 1215/2012.

12. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Where the change is material we will give reasonable advance notice on the Platform or by email to registered users. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of an amendment means that you accept the amended Terms.
